Adoption Fees

All adoption fees paid to the Drumheller & District Humane Society are used for the direct care of animals. Our fees cover the costs of very basic vet care for our animals.

Any costs for additional vet care, food, toys, and other items required to care for these animals are covered by our fundraising efforts and some of our wonderful foster families.

All our animals come vet-checked, up-to-date on their shots, tattooed, and spayed/neutered. Our adoption fee also includes 6 weeks of pet insurance.

Adopt-a-Cat:

• 1 Adult Cat - $150 (a value of up to $290)
• 1 Baby or Young Cat* - $175 (a value of up to $350)
• 2 Cats - $275 (a value of up to $700)
• A bonded pair - $200 (a value of up to $580)
• Cats over 7 years - $110 (a value of up to $290)

Adopt-a-Dog:

• 1 Dog or Puppy* - $225 (a value of up to $480)
• 2 Dogs - $425 (a value of up to $960)
• A bonded pair - $275 (a value of up to $960)
• Dogs over 7 years - $190 (a value of up to $480)

*Kittens and puppies include their first two sets of shots and include a voucher to cover their tattoo and spay/neuter at the Valley Vet Clinic to be used once they reach 6 months of age.
